Position overview:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join a team building the next generation of a growing education technology platform. We immerse ourselves in the behaviors of our customers and users to create products and experiences that are both effective and bring people together in helping learners achieve their goals. The Senior Product Manager will define the product roadmap and feature sets for the existing medical vertical as well as establishing a platform for building community that allows for additional verticals to be easily integrated. You will be the voice of the product vision across the company and partner closely with executive management, content, UI/UX, design/creative, sales and marketing and engineering to manage the successful ideation, development and delivery of the Sketchy learning platform, products and community. Success will require collaboration across groups to ensure the Sketchy product strategy is well-defined and executed. User research, prioritizing a backlog, translating requirements into specs to ship features, innovative “design thinking” expertise and attention-to-detail in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is required. Experience working in a design-centric, customer-focused environment is essential.

Location: This role is open to remote employees in select US states: Texas, California, New York, Hawaii, Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, Washington and Washington, D.C.


  • Consumer Centric.  Definition, design and execution of the user experience and product features for learners – in collaboration with primary partners from content, marketing/brand, and analytics teams

  • Translating Vision into Roadmap.  Understand the company’s goals and translate that into a tangible but flexible roadmap with goal setting of key initiatives on a quarterly and annual basis

  • Prioritization.  Managing backlog of all product development efforts prioritized by business impact and impact on consumer experience and communicate back to stakeholders on priority 

  • Navigating a team through Ambiguity. Working with your engineering and design partner to scope efforts to decide which features to build, write requirements and specs that create clarity for your team, and ensure features are shipped in a timely manner 

  • Increasing Engagement.  Ideating and developing features that increase usage and learning effectiveness including new learning products, optimized lesson structures, activity/game engines and social learning/gamification features.

  • Results driven.  Understanding and using data from all digital learning and community products to increase key metrics (e.g. active user growth, revenue, retention, etc.)


  • 5+ years of product management experience owning a product and leading a team of engineers and designers

  • Consumer focused: experience developing digital products at scale (millions of users) via direct customer relationship with consumers and end-users

  • Communication skills are unrivaled, and you know how to make people listen and understand 

  • Embody the Agile philosophy, always shipping and delivering iterative improvements to the product and improving on the process

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills

  • Experience acting as a meeting/session facilitator in a product setting

  • User research experience, including developing research plan, conducting interviews and harvesting actionable insights

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Passionate about learning and making a positive impact on the world

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with social platform product and feature development connecting expansive global audiences around common communities of interest

  • Experience developing products built around data-driven personalization by uncovering unique customer attributes and building experiences that leverage those insights (e.g., adaptive learning)

  • Experience with Digital Learning/EdTech product development


  • Bachelor’s degree in a similar field of study
